How We Support People Living With Dementia

At Silver Birch Centres, we provide 6-hour respite care for carers. This allows you to enjoy a well-deserved break while your loved ones receive expert dementia support. Our dementia specialist day centres cater to all stages of dementia, ensuring exceptional care through brain-stimulating activities.

Activities at Silver Birch

Our Silver Birch Centres focus on cognitive stimulation and creating a fun-filled day for your loved one. While they engage in exciting activities, you can rest assured knowing they are in safe hands. For instance, we offer group activities like singing, dancing, and arts & crafts. In addition, we organise quizzes and day trips to keep everyone entertained and involved.

Moreover, every member of our staff is DBS-checked and fully trained in dementia care. This ensures your loved one receives professional attention and care tailored to their needs.

Dad has been with you for a long time now and he really looks forward to his day at " the club". He always tells everyone that the staff look after him so well and he feels included and welcome. The staff are all so lovely and take the time to make sure the family feel happy and relaxed to leave their loved ones with them. It has been a lifeline not only for Dad but for me too. I sadly lost my mum last December and she also used to go to Silver Birch. She was very badly affected by dementia and could be very difficult but the staff were nothing but kind and patient with her. I dont know what we would do without you all.

Our mum is a regular and not only has it taken a huge strain off the family, but , most importantly has given mum something to look forward to. Her days at the centre fill her with pure joy. My mum has been going to the Centre for over a year now and she really enjoys her day.The staff have been brilliant and the office staff behind the scenes have been excellent regarding transport. My mum doesn’t stop talking about her day when she gets home as they do so much i.e singing, dancing, quizzes and gardening etc. They even cook dinners fresh onsite for the cllients and this means I know my mum has eaten a good healthy meal. Fantastic service and would recommend anyone who has a relative who has Dementia and wants to send them to a centre who really care. Thank you!!!!.

Dad has been attending Silverbirch centre for nearly a year. It's a great place to bring your loved ones knowing they are in the capable hands of trained staff. They show kindness in abundance and patience, lots of it, for those everyday challenges. You are always greeted with a big smile and the staff are on hand for any support or concerns. I like that dad has been engaging with several activities laid on by the centre, most of all the music and dancing which he thoroughly loves. I love that he comes out smiling and that we chat about his day. So thankyou Silverbirch for giving back my dad a purpose in life and for giving me some much needed respite.
